Dr. Lauren Schwartz

Dr. Lauren Schwartz, DPM has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. At her two North Shore Podiatry locations in Manhasset and Floral Park, she and her staff specialize in foot and ankle injuries, diabetic foot care and many more ailments.

Dr. Jillian Irwin was born and raised in Long Island. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Molloy College before attending New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Upon receiving her DPM degree, Dr. Irwin completed her three year surgical residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau, where she served as Chief Resident and gained experience in forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery, trauma, diabetic limb salvage, biomechanics and medicine.

Dr. Jasmine Reid

Practicing at the Manhasset and Floral Park Office Locations

Dr. Jasmine Reid is a foot and ankle surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for patients of all ages. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, fractures, diabetic foot care, wound management, pediatric foot conditions, deformity correction, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Reid earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency with added credentialing in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Northwell Health's Long Island Jewish Medical Center/North Shore University Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. In recognition of her clinical excellence, leadership, and commitment to patient care, Dr. Reid was honored as Resident of the Year by the New York State Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Reid believes the best outcomes begin with listening. She takes the time to educate her patients, answer their questions, and develop individualized treatment plans that help them achieve their goals and return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Sandra Zawadka

Sandra Zawadka, DPM is a board-certified highly skilled and compassionate podiatric physician. Born to Polish immigrants, she developed a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence early in life. Dr. Zawadka values patient-centered care and strives to establish a strong doctor-patient relationship built on trust and open communication.

 

Dr. Zawadka completed her undergraduate studies at St. John's University, graduating with a major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She then completed her doctorate degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. Dr. Zawadka went on to complete her residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau, focusing on a wide array of rearfoot and forefoot conditions. During that time, she served as the Chief Resident, leading a team of fellow podiatrists and gaining invaluable experience in complex cases. She holds board certification from both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is a firm believer in continuing education and stays closely engaged with the latest research and techniques to make sure her patients get the best possible care. Dr. Zawadka is fluent in English and Polish.

Dr. Diana Gagliano

Practicing at the Floral Park Office Location

Diana Gagliano was born and raised in New York. During her senior year in high school, she began working for a podiatrist part-time, which introduced her to all aspects of the profession. Dr. Gagliano continued to work in podiatry throughout her years in college and received her undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, while also playing Division 2 Woman’s Soccer. She attended NY College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a surgical residency from Wyckoff Heights Medical, receiving the Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Gagliano has been practicing in New York and resides in Westchester with her family.

Dr. Rubina Rafi

Practicing at the Manhasset Office Location

Dr. Rubina Rafi is a podiatric physician and surgeon specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Northwell Health’s Huntington Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.

 

Her training includes foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, wound care, diabetic limb preservation, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient podiatric care. Dr. Rafi is committed to listening carefully, explaining treatment options clearly, and developing personalized plans that prioritize conservative care whenever appropriate. Her goal is to relieve pain, restore mobility, and help patients return confidently to the activities they enjoy.  Dr. Rafi is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.

Dr. Basem Hakim

Basem Hakim, DPM. MD. graduated from the College of Medicine Ain Shams University, one of the top medical schools in Egypt. Dr. Hakim worked as a missionary physician in Africa for more than 3 years. Then he moved to the United States, where he earned his doctorate degree in podiatric medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completed a three years of post-doctoral extensive podiatric surgical residency training, devoted to all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including sports related trauma, elective reconstructive surgery, and medical management of different podiatric pathologies, as well as additional training in wound care. Dr. Hakim believes that proper communication with his patients about their conditions will help to provide individualized care to each patient and to approach their goals and lifestyle through practicing evidence-based medicine.Traveling has been one of the highlights of his life. In his free time, Dr. Hakim likes spending quality time with his wife and his two daughters.

Dr. Nancy Artis

House Call and Group Home Appointments

Dr. Nancy Artis was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, and is a graduate of Syracuse University. She attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (also known as Kent State University) where she received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree. Before residency, Dr. Artis spent time in Philadelphia and in Delaware doing preceptorships in private offices, where she helped treat dancers, athletes, and the elderly population. She later began her Residency in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed her training in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Artis is an advocate for conservative care before surgical treatment is performed. She takes her time with her patients and enjoys explaining the different pathologies her patients may have pertaining to their feet.  Dr. Artis is fluent in both English and Spanish.
